IMP can now Dyno Tune your AWD, FWD or RWD vehicle.
IMP takes chassis Dyno tuning to the next level.
There's finally an All Wheel Drive Dyno in Northern New Jersey and it's at IMP. We can test/tune almost any type of vehicle making up to 850 HP and running to 180 miles per hour. The wide band 0? sensor will give you exact air/fuel ratios. You can also run a full 1/4 mile with ET's and miles per hour. Now when you go to the track you will know what the car should do.
Appointments are available everyday.
Dyno rental is available to shops and tuners by the hour, 1/2 day or full day, call for rates.
Features of the Dyno include:
- Perform elapsed time vehicle simulations like quarter-mile runs, 0-60 & passing acceleration.
- Turn PAUs off and run standard inertia tests like a Dynojet? dyno.
- Run fully loaded power tests with eddy current power absorbers.
- Run tests under operator or computer controlled load based on vehicle weight and aero drag losses.
- Mustang's patented Vehicle Simulation feature automatically adjusts the load to reflect the real-world forces your vehicle experiences on the road.
- Test at full or partial throttle positions and at constant speeds or torque!
- Perform power curve tests under controlled acceleration rates for greater data resolution.
- Log multiple data channels including AFR, temps, pressures and graph all against power/rpm.
- Perform step tests to precisely measure power and other channels at different rpm/speeds.
- Evaluate and get the most out of add-on high performance components.
- Quantify vehicle drivetrain parasitic losses.
- Special Rates available for Car Club "Dyno Days" when booking 5 or more cars.
Chassis Dyno Facts
If you are just looking for a horsepower number then any dyno will do. But if you want your car tuned for optimal performance on the street or track, only a loading dyno can load your vehicle to accurately simulate real-world driving conditions.
An eddy current loading dyno has the ability to adjust the load on the vehicle to accurately simulate your vehicle's weight and aerodynamic wind losses to produce testing conditions that are virtually identical to the conditions your car experiences in the real world.
If you're not testing under real-world road-load conditions - then you're just spinning your wheels!
